How to capture a copy of the computer screen and insert it into a Word document:
1. After the screen is displaying the desired information, hit the "print screen" key (it may be labeled as "prt sc"). This will place a copy of the screen's content in memory.
2. Open Paint and select Edit, then Paste (Paint should already have a window open for a paste) and a capture of your screen should appear. Save that image as a .jpg or .gif.
3. The saved .jpg or .gif can then be imported into the Word document by opening Word, then choosing, Insert, Picture, From File....
Note: This entry is being made as part of an assignment for an introduction to the Internet class. The preceding information was sent to a classmate who was using Windows and was trying to find a way to capture a copy of her computer's screen and insert the capture into a Word document.
